Job Description:
The Diamond R-IV School District is seeking applications for the position of Elementary School Principal for the 2023-2024 School Year.
 
The Elementary School Principal leads a building of approximately 360 students in grades PK-5th.  Candidates should be effective communicators with students, staff, parents, and patrons, should possess strong instructional leadership skills, and have a true passion for student learning and shared leadership. The applicant should be growth-minded and an active member of the district leadership team and building-level teams.  Candidates need to be confident in their ability to move students and staff toward high achievement.  
 
Duties will include instructional leadership, supervision and evaluation of certified and classified building-level staff, and leading professional learning in a collaborative manner.  The elementary employs approximately 30 certified staff and approximately 15 classified staff.
 
This position is an 11-month contract including district-wide summer school during the month of June.  Salary will be in the $65,000 - $80,000 range depending on years of experience and degrees. The Board pays 100% health insurance for the employee and a competitive four-day school week with 2 Mondays each month for Professional Development and student intervention time.
