Recruitment & Retention Manager
 
POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary responsibility of the Recruitment and Retention Manager is to advance recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with the Human Resources Office of Employee Success and Engagement and District administration, with an emphasis on recruitment of diverse applicants and hard-to-fill positions. This position will be the primary point of contact for all interested candidates, assist in the development of career pathways, and promote SSD as an employer of choice.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • Three or more years of recruitment and retention experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service orientation, relationship building, teamwork, follow-up, and attention to detail
  • Protect the confidentiality of information shared verbally or in writing
  • Knowledge of local and federal regulations and employment law
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and monitor activities for desired results with integrity
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse body of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus, with the ability to positively interact with administrators, employees, applicants, and vendors/educational partners
  • Able to travel during the workday and, on occasion, work beyond the normal workday or stay overnight to attend a recruitment event (compensation for mileage, food, and lodging provided) 
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Google Suite
  • Experience collaborating with members of historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, women, individuals with disabilities, veterans, LGBTQA+ community members, and others who demonstrate the ability to help us achieve our equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility mission
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant discipline from an accredited institution of higher education required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience building diverse talent pipelines to meet organizational needs
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification Preferred
