Job Title:
           Trauma Clinician
Reports To:        Chief Officer of Student Services and Social Emotional Learning Supports
FLSA Status:      Exempt
Contract Days:  Twelve-Month

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Promote a positive school climate and culture by implementing trauma-informed, restorative practices
  • Collaborate and develop Hogan staff in the utilization of strategies and approaches that support student development with a personalized approach
  • Analyze data reports as needed by student information systems 
  • Evaluate Hogan policies and systems for clinical compatibility, effectiveness in addressing the needs of all students, and submit recommendations as needed
  • Provide trauma-informed, restorative solutions for interventions, crisis response support, and conflict resolution, 
  • Establish positive, productive relationships with families and students to connect them to the resources they need
  • Coach families and school personnel on development of student success plans
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or closely related degree
  • Missouri professional license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or as a Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Three (3) years of direct working experience with socio-economically challenged youth
  • Three (3) years of experience with case management
  • Three (3) years of experience in individual and small group clinical intervention
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of mental health assessment and treatment
  • Previous experience working with school systems and local, state or federal agencies
  • Knowledge and experience of providing trauma-sensitive service 
  • Demonstrated experience preparing detailed written and oral reports
  • Ability to perform basic statistical analysis along with problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Must have current driver's license and eligibility for insurance
  • Must have the ability to conduct assessments and write reports.
  • Office skills including typing, and computer skills 
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
