The Dunklin R-5 School District is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join the Dunklin R-5 special education team for the 2022-2023 school year.  Enjoy being part of a great team that is dedicated to servicing students with special needs.  The Dunklin R-5 School District is a short distance from the St. Louis area (less than 30 minutes) and located right off the highway 55 exit. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree and any Special Education certificate
• Strong knowledge of the special education eligibility process 
• Experience administering assessments
• Knowledge of state standards, state and federal regulations and laws
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven problem solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Select and appropriately administer varied individual tests based on individual needs in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Participate and facilitate in all aspects of the special education eligibility process. 
• Serve as an individual to interpret assessment information for eligibility determination and instructional implication clearly and concisely.
• Maintain assessment materials so they are secured yet accessible to certified staff.
• Maintain an organizational system to fulfill job responsibilities at multiple locations.
• Interpret special education eligibility criteria, individual psychological and educational test data, and evaluation reports to staff and parents.
• Supervise students at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned by the director of special education.

Starting Date: 8-1-2022
Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience (minimum salary with a master’s degree is $43,750).  
Benefits: Board Paid Employee Health Life, and Dental Insurance.  Employees will be offered, on a fee basis, in-district childcare for age’s birth through two with preschool available from ages 3-5.
