Literacy Teaching Assistant (LTA) -  Elementary

• Part-time position;  17.5 hours per week (3.5 hours per day > 8:30-12:00); hours may vary depending on building needs.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, student attendance days only
• Hourly Rate: $21.75
• Certificate not required, but strongly preferred (Substitute Certification Accepted; Missouri Teacher Certification Preferred)
• Non-exempt
• Benefits not included
• This posting is non-building specific at this time. Application screening will be conducted by the elementary principals.
   

 

• Typically grades K-2, works in classroom with small group on reading instruction (comprehension, fluency, decoding, vocabulary)
• LTAs communicate with the classroom teachers frequently to share data and observations
• Planning and restocking shelves with the guided reading library books
