You may qualify in one of the following ways:
- 60 college credit hours from an approved DESE college or university in order to attain an substitute certificate and a cleared background check.
- High school diploma and successful completion of the 20 hour online course approved by DESE in order to attain a substitute certificate and a cleared background check.
- High school diploma and a passing score on the DESE approved ParaPro assessment and a cleared background check.
