SUMMARY:  The Instructional Technology Coach reports to Director of MIS/Technology and supports the district’s efforts to ensure that Teachers/Students/Families can integrate/utilize technology to support curriculum.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Instructional coaches, Principals and teachers in identifying appropriate instructional technology resources for use in the classroom.
  • Provide research-based leadership in assisting teachers in integrating technology
  • Provide phone, email and onsite support to Teachers/Families
  • Develop standards-based lesson plans that model the use of technology resources
  • Conducts technology integration in-services using the RGSD curriculum
  • Work closely with the Professional Development Coordinator for the planning and coordination of technology in-service/training for staff.
  • Evaluate and provide support for the purchase of technology related software/hardware
  • Employ surveys or other tools to determine technology training needs
  • Perform other tasks as designated by the Director of MIS/Technology
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Teacher Certification required
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience integrating technology successfully in the classroom
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience in the use/integration of technology to enhance teaching/learning in the classroom (K-12 preferred)
  • Knowledge of instructional software and hardware
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (STRENGTH):
 
  • Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • Exerts greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to view large volumes of written materials via computer screen and/or records/correspondence/documentation for extended periods of time.
  
Terms of Employment:
Year: 10 Month + 10 extra duty days
Salary:  Teacher Salary Schedule Scale  (Federally Funded) - minimum $44,100/yr
LOCATION:  District-wide - Some evening and weekend hours will be required
