Job Description:
The Cape Girardeau Adult Education Center is seeking dedicated part-time ABE Instructors for the 2021-22academic year. Hours per week: 7.5  Locations: Perryville, MO
 
The Adult Education Instructor facilitates meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment.
 
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• AEL certification or ability to complete certification if hired
• Willingness to interact with the community at large in promoting program
• Experience working with a diverse population with varying beliefs
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage a multi-level adult classroom
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Adult education or secondary education teaching experience with at-risk students
