Orchard Farm School District is seeking a Secondary Student Improvement Program (previously In-School Suspension) Paraprofessional to join our team! 
Our mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities. The Secondary School Improvement Program Paraprofessional works with our middle and high school students and staff to provide social, physical, and academic support and/or supervision to our students who may require time outside the general education classroom for various reasons. We are looking for a team member who is strong in relationship building with students and staff and can provide a structured and restorative environment for students who may be working through challenging situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or higher
  • Missouri Substitute Certificate (be able to obtain within 30 days of acceptance of offer)
  • Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
  • Ability to follow written and oral communication 
  • Ability to problem solve
An individual who holds this position is required to:
  • Assist in managing the behavior of students
  • Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students
  • Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law
  • Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration
  • Help supervise arrival and departure of students, and provide supervision and support in multiple settings throughout the school day
  • Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
