The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the 2022-2023 school year for the position of: Title 1 Reading Teacher, Pleasant Hill Primary School 
 
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience-Required
B.S. in Education-Required
Valid Missouri Elementary Teaching Certificate-Required
Master’s Degree in Literacy-Required
Reading Specialist Certificate-Required
Experience in providing interventions-Preferred
 
Length of contract: 9.25 month

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide small group and/or one-on-one instruction to Tier 2 & 3 students as delineated by MTSS guidelines and collaborative team.
  • Provide support to other tiered students as directed by collaborative team.
  • Attend and participate in the collaborative decision-making process
  • Analyze data to identify, place, and serve students.
  • Lead colleagues in looking at data to make decisions about needed interventions.
  • Have a thorough understanding of effective interventions to use with students struggling in reading and writing.
  • Utilize district-identified intervention resources for individual student needs.
  • Administer appropriate assessments according to MTSS guidelines and assessment calendar.
  • Monitor student progress using district-selected assessments.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation on academic progress of assigned students.
  • Review data trends to identify areas of need, and report findings to appropriate staff.
  • Assist teachers conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement in reading and writing through formal and informal testing.
  • Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the school district.
  • Assist and confer regularly with district staff to ensure system alignment and program fidelity.
  • Identify, analyze, and apply research findings to facilitate student achievement.
  • Assist district administration in identifying programmatic growth areas for the school and grade level teams.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  • Exhibit a high level of ethics and confidentiality in regards to student and teacher records and classroom performance.
  • Attend required training as specified for performing job responsibilities.
  • Stay current in knowledge of state and district policies, procedures and best practices related to MTSS and instructional initiatives.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
