Job Description:
The St. Joseph, MO School District is currently accepting applications for an HVAC Instructor.  This position is located at Hillyard Technical School.

Qualifications:
 Required: Successful candidate will have the following: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an area appropriate for the subject being taught and four thousand (400) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years.

Or • Associated degree in an area appropriate for the subject being taught and five thousand (5000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years.   

Or • No degree and six thousand (6000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years.  

Preferred:  Missouri Career Education HVAC Mechanic Certification. Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
 
FLSA: Exempt
Salary Schedule: Per Approved Salary Schedule
Direct Report:  Vocational School Director (Principal)
Terms of Employment: 9 month, - Full-time position
Eligible for emergency telework: With Supervisor approval
 
Purpose:  To provide quality education and training, relevant to current industry standards, and to ensure students’ success in the HVAC field.
