Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
POSITION STATUS: Salaried exempt 12 month full-time
·      Devise, implement and evaluate a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy targeting internal and external audiences, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, community partners, prospective parents, prospective students, prospective donors, and external stakeholders using printed and online collateral; social media strategy and content; newsletters; media promotion; and website presence
·      Work in collaboration with the school’s administration to collect and disseminate success stories and needs to constituents
·      Ensure brand and messaging quality and consistency, and establish guidelines to apply across all audiences.
·      Design visually appealing and relevant content for electronic and print distribution, including invitations, ads, promotional items, banners, posters, and event programs
·      Develop and implement an annual communications calendar designed to inform and engage
constituents including newsletters, print collateral, social media, and the website.
·      In collaboration with student admissions, design strategies and implement action plans to successfully optimize PCS’s outreach to increase the volume of student applicants
·      Manage and maintain school’s website
·      Analyze effectiveness of communications initiatives and marketing initiatives
·      Work in collaboration with key stakeholders on grant applications, grant deadlines, and reporting.
·      Participate in life of school through school duty – (TBD – but usually traffic help before or after school)
·      Other responsibilities as needed as a part of the business office and school team

·      Demonstrates a commitment to and belief in the mission of public education and public school choice in the City of St. Louis.
·      Minimum of an internship or one year of marketing and communications experience in a professional setting preferred; minimum Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or other relevant field preferred; nonprofit experience preferred
·      Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills as provided in a timely manner and a customer service mindset
·      Thrives in a small organization where a myriad of skills are utilized
·      Possesses exceptional organizational abilities and a disciplined attention to detail
·      Ability to multi-task and simultaneously manage a variety of projects while working collaboratively with teams and independently
·      Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or similar software applications, all common social media platforms, Google Apps, and Microsoft Office Suite
·      Operates with a high level of personal responsibility and optimism
