Knob Noster Public Schools is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Technology Specialist for the 2021-2022 school year.
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate diverse professional knowledge, a vision of excellence, a student-centered focus, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
 
The successful candidate may be a classified or certified individual, based on unique skillset or knowledge of the individual.

Qualifications:         
      1.  Experience with Apple & PC computer environments.
      2.  Broad background in applications and educational software on these platforms.
      3.  Excellent communication skills.       
      4.  Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
 
Reports To:                
           Director of Technology / Assistant Superintendent 
 
Job Goals:                  
           Assists with implementation, maintenance, and support of the computer technology system that allows building staff and students to make the most effective and efficient use of technology resources.
 
Performance Responsibilities:
  1. Install software and hardware as necessary.
  2. Maintain a current database of building software and hardware, and prepare reports as needed on initial expenditures, maintenance, and usage.
  3. Assist the technology coordinator in identifying and evaluating needed software, hardware, and computer supplies for district use.
  4. Evaluate needs for service on equipment and software.
  5. Provide technical assistance and support for building staff.
  6. Assist in mobile device management and support for building staff.
  7. Maintain building passwords.
  8. Upload student data.
  9. Keep current on new and emerging technologies by attending appropriate administration-approved training, in-services, and conferences, and by reading appropriate publications.
  10. Perform other appropriate duties as assigned. 
Terms of Employment:
          Twelve month contract, 8 hours daily.
 
Evaluation:
          Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
