The Institution 
Cristo Rey Kansas City provides a Catholic, college and career prep education enhanced by an innovative corporate work study program to culturally diverse, ambitious students with economic need. Founded in 2006 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Cristo Rey KC serves approximately 300 students in grades 9 – 12.  Located in the Midtown neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, Cristo Rey KC draws students from diverse backgrounds from 64 unique feeder schools across the greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area over two million citizens. Beginning with the first graduating class of 2010, Cristo Rey KC seniors have a 100% acceptance rate into college with over ten million dollars of scholarship money awarded during that span. Full time faculty members not only teach, they inspire. They work in conjunction with all stakeholders to create a college prep environment to prepare all students for the rigors of post-secondary education and life.

The Position
As the instructional leader of the school, the Principal provides mission leadership for faculty and students, supports high quality classroom instruction and assures orderly functioning of the school. The Principal is responsible for teaching and learning through providing ongoing instructional feedback and engaging faculty in the development and implementation of a rigorous, college and career preparatory curriculum and the cultivation of a school-wide Catholic identity.  The Principal is responsible for creating and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement that provides students with multiple opportunities to develop and demonstrate proficiency.  The Principal is a member of the school’s leadership team and actively collaborates with leadership team members to create a culture of respect and achievement by fostering collaboration, teamwork and communication through all academic departments.  The Principal reports to the President.
