Job Description:
Lift For Life Academy, the first charter school in St. Louis is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to complete and process payroll, benefits, and additional HR duties as assigned. HR Generalist will report to the HR Director.
Ø Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for hourly, salary and daily rate employees
Ø Enter deductions and supplement payments to payroll spreadsheet
Ø Enter missing time clock punches and make corrections to Accrual (PTO) in Kronos Workforce Ready
Ø Data entry of all new hires, changes, and terminations in Kronos and Accounting software
Ø Run reports and upload documents to ShareFile
Ø Assist with Open Enrollment of benefits
Ø Set up New Hire event in Empryean for the election of benefits
Ø Enter benefit deduction changes in payroll software
Ø Monthly insurance benefit reconciliation
Human Resource Duties:
Ø Recruitment and job posting of educational and non-educational staff
Ø Tracking of teaching staff certifications
Ø Complete verification of employment, unemployment, and Social Security requests
Ø Maintain Personnel Files, filing and scanning
Ø Assist HR Coordinator with Background checks for State, Federal and Social Services
Ø New Hire and termination paperwork, data entry
Ø Maintain organizational charts
Ø Assist with employee handbook policy development
Ø Update job descriptions
Ø Update tracking spreadsheets for Birthdays, Call Tree and Phone Extensions
Ø Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment, OSHA, FMLA, STD, LTD, and assisting HR Director with monthly, quarterly, and yearly projects and audits.
Ø Three+ years Payroll, Benefits, and HR experience
Ø Bachelor’s degree and HR certification preferred
Ø Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google calendar, drive file sharing, Internet, and E-Mail applications,
Ø Kronos Workforce Ready payroll, timekeeping, and HR software experience a plus
Ø Extremely accurate in performing payroll functions.
Ø Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ø Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ø Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ø Ability to remain neutral and calm under stressful situations.
Ø Must have a positive attitude, problem solver, and self-starter
Ø State and FBI fingerprint background clearance and Family Care Safety Registry clearance

This position is 40 hours a week, 100% paid Medical, Dental, and Life insurance for the employee with optional coverage for yourself and dependents. Pension and 403b retirement plans, paid holidays, and vacation. Salary to commensurate with experience.
