Education and Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree
- Full Certification in Mathematics, grades 9-12 preferred
- Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives
- Plans a program of study in the area of mathematics that meets the individual needs, interests, ability, and maturity of the students
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides frequent progress communications and grade reports as required
- Works closely with special needs staff for the success of the students
- Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required, requested to do so under reasonable terms, and as deemed appropriate for the success of the students
- Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the broad academic and the behavioral progress of all assigned students
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations
- Attends and participates in faculty meetings, in-service activities, workshops, course-work, seminars, and other activities that promote professional growth and lifelong learning for the teacher
- Cooperates and collaborates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives,assessments, curriculum, and methods
- Cooperative working environment with college
- Other duties, as assigned
