Job Description:
Holy Cross Academy is seeking a new Principal/Administrator to join its leadership team. As a member of Holy Cross Academy’s Executive Administration Team, this Principal/Administrator collaborates with the President (HCA's CEO and spiritual leader) and fellow administrators of the Intermediate, Primary and Early Childhood Education Campuses to successfully lead and operate HCA's academic and faith formation programs. 
This role will be mainly responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Middle School Campus including curriculum, instruction, assessment, behavior and the safety of students. Holy Cross Academy’s structure is unique and as we are poised to make flexible and sustainable decisions to support the Academy, this role too, will include additional administrative responsibilities to support the Academy beyond the Middle School Campus. Experience in leading teams of teachers and staff members in a collaborative atmosphere to promote high-quality academic and faith-formation programs is required. 
Required Credentials and Experience:
  • Practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church
  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic schools
  • The desire to lead faculty, staff, and students in developing and growing in their lives of faith
  • An in-depth understanding of best practices in intermediate and middle school academics and student programming
  • Proven experience and knowledge of curriculum at the middle and intermediate levels
  • Knowledge of and experience in implementing social-emotional development programming with a focus on cultivating a healthy culture in which students can grow and thrive
  • Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in educational leadership
  • At least three years of experience as a Catholic school teacher and previous experience as a Principal or school administration.
  • Certified or ability to be certified in school administration by the State of Missouri
  • Certified by the Archdiocese of St. Louis as a catechist, CRE certification preferred
  • Certification or experience in special education a plus
