SUMMARY: Reports directly to the Director of Facilities. To provide general maintenance support for the District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Salary: District Maintenance Salary Schedule – Scale I – $12.57/hr
Shift Type: Full-Time
SUMMARY: Reports directly to the Director of Facilities. To provide general maintenance support for the District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the district’s maintenance program for the benefit of the students by performing all designated routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Report directly to the Director of Facilities or his/her designee.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Graduation from a general or technical high school.
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of grounds equipment, ability to operate mowers and grounds equipment.
- Prior experience in general maintenance function of buildings; grounds and snow removal.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity, heating ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry.
- Ability and personality to work with colleagues, parents, as well as other individuals, community groups, and organizations.
- Positive, effective “people skills”.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to stand 7 out of 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift, carry, store all normal maintenance supplies and equipment up to 70 pounds independently.
- Ability to operate a variety of custodial equipment including a floor stripper, buffer, carpet shampooer, vacuum cleaner, and small power hand tools.
- Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources.
