Job Description:
Summary: This supplementary position will assist administration in a variety of tasks that require attention to detail and positive follow-through. This individual will work as a liaison among Partner District Administration and faculty/staff. This individual will follow the Partner District calendar to which he/she is assigned and will assist with administration of Extended School Year (ESY).
Job Responsibilities:

Instruction and Learning – Student achievement/performance and staff growth
1. Provide input on the formative evaluation of staff, walk through observations, and review of IEP and related documents.
2. Assist with providing supervision and support for teacher-level staff at identified school buildings.
3. Assist with Data Team planning and facilitation.
4. Collaborate with administrator(s) to screen, interview, and recommend the employment and when appropriate termination as well as assignment of staff to the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education or other appropriate personnel.
5. Facilitate the development and implementation of staff development for both professional and paraprofessional staff to ensure best practice programming, high quality instruction and ultimately ever-improving student outcomes.
6. Lead efforts to promote a professional culture among faculty/staff in the building.
7. Support with implementation of Partner District and SSD policies and procedures.
8. Provide on-going professional development; problem solving with function in mind, Comprehensive Integrated Three Tiered Systems of Support (CI3T), Classroom Learning Systems (CLS), and the Educator Evaluation System (EES).
9. Provide additional supports as determined by Special Education Administration.
10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
1. Masters’ degree in special education or school administration required
2. Five (5) years of special education teaching experience required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
1. MO DESE special education teacher certification required
2. MO DESE special education administrator certification preferred
