Job Description:
Jefferson College is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic individual to serve as a recruitment & placement representative for high school students in the Jefferson County area. This individual will promote the career education programs offered by Jefferson College Area Technical School, and he/she will report directly to the Area Technical School Director. The recruitment & placement representative assists in the recruitment, career counseling and placement of high school students in career education programs; helps plan and schedule individual and group tours of all career education programs; helps facilitate enrollment and placement of high school students into ATS career education programs; visits sending high schools in order to promote career education to high school students; assists in coordinating ATS events such as ATS Open House, Career Expo and student visits. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the director. This position participates in the Public School Retirement System (PSRS).

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required. Minimum of three years of experience in Career Education, Teaching, Placement/Counseling, Guidance Counseling, Educational Testing, Program Coordination, Business and/or Marketing background. Strong technical skills required; must have knowledge of and be able to work with Google docs/sheets and Microsoft Office applications. Must have Missouri Teaching Certificate within one year of being hired. The candidate must present a professional image, be effective in oral and written communications, and demonstrate an ability to work with a wide range of professionals.
