Job Description:

DETAILS: Two 12-month support staff positions, on a 261 day calendar for 2020-21, with district-recognized holidays and paid sick and personal leave. These are full-time, 40 hours per week positions, with a district provided benefits package that includes employee health, dental, life and vision insurance.

COMPENSATION: According to the Support Staff Pay Schedule within the Custodian range. The hourly range for these positions is $12.47- $20.47. Placement within the range is determined by like experience and education.

JOB SUMMARY: To provide students with a safe, clean, efficient and comfortable place in which to learn, play and develop to their full potential.

  • Requires prior cleaning experience, school cleaning experience preferred
  • Requires the ability to perform essential functions of the position
  • Requires the ability to safely operate all custodial equipment
  • Requires the ability to be dependable and punctual
  • Requires the ability to read & interpret documents such as operating & maintenance instructions, procedures, safety rules, etc.
  • Requires willingness to complete job-related training
  • Requires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, and be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Requires the ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment
  • Requires the ability to develop effective working relationships with students and the school community
  • Requires the ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population
