   Experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support with good problem solving skills. Team player with excellent communication skills able to adapt and be customer service oriented. Must be able to lift 45 lbs.

Direct Report:  Supervisor of Information Technology
Terms of Employment:  12 month
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction in person, on the phone, or via remote support.
  • Provide a high level of quality, friendly, customer service
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
  • Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority.
  • Gather additional information on user-submitted help desk tickets as needed for the purpose of resolving problem.
  • Escalate help desk tickets to appropriate department personnel as needed.
  • Practices ethical behavior in the protection of user privacy and confidentiality.
  • Assigns devices to new employees and assits them with initial use and account setup.  Provides new staff with contact information for help desk and building tech.
  • Assesses the operation of computer hardware, software applications, and electronic equipment for the purpose of ensuring hardware and software is in proper working order.
  • Diagnoses hardware and software failures for the purpose of identifying repair and replacement needs.
  • Participates in school and departmental meetings, workshops, and trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
  • Prepares written materials (e.g. status reports, instructions, user guides, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
