Job Description:
The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of 504 Secretary.  Specific responsibilities of this position include working closing with school administrators to assist in the facilitation of the district's Section 504 program.  Section 504 is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities.  Qualifying students receive accommodations and modifications to ensure that they have equal access to an education.  The 504 Secretary communicates with staff and parents to schedule eligibility meetings; collects and organizes documentation for consideration during eligibility meetings; attends eligibility meetings for the purpose of taking notes and assisting in 504 plan development; and disseminates 504 plans to teachers and administrators. Professional development will be required and paid for by the district. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, computer knowledge, possess a friendly and welcoming attitude, and be willing to work flexed hours to ensure proper program support.   

Qualifications:  High School diploma and computer knowledge and skills are required. College degree and previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.  

Salary: $13.73 - $15.47/hour depending on education and previous experience.
