Job Description:
The School District of Clayton is seeking a building receptionist for Clayton High School for the 2020-2021 school year. The building receptionist greets visitors, answers the main telephone lines, responds to inquiries, and provides secretarial and clerical support within the building. 
The Successful Candidate Will:
  1. Answer the telephone with the purpose of directing and screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries, or taking messages.
  2. Greet visitors to the building and direct them to the appropriate location.
  3. Give information in person or by telephone to employees, parents, students and the public using knowledge of District rules, regulations, and procedures.
  4. Evaluate situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action or directing to the appropriate person.
  5. Prepare a variety of standard and special reports for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reference, or conveying information.
  6. Act as a resource for inquiries regarding meetings and events, providing information such as times, dates, locations and/or directions.
  7. Operate standard office equipment including computer, copier, calculator, phone system, etc.
  8. Use facsimile machine to transmit faxes; collect and distribute faxes to appropriate person.
  9. May perform various clerical duties such as sorting and distributing mail, processing vouchers and purchase orders, maintaining inventory of supplies, preparing work orders and making copies, etc.
  10. Provide secretarial and clerical support within the building as requested.
Education Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification:  None.
Experience:  1 -3 years in similar assignment is required.
Compensation:  District provides its staff with highly competitive pay.
