Job Description:
Summary:  Hearing Screener works with a team under the direction of a team leader going to one or two schools per day.  Students from odd numbered grades (1,3,5. etc.) are screened each year.  Training is provided by the audiologists, prior to work being performed.  Normal screening schedule is approximately ten weeks in the fall
 
Job Responsibilities:
Instruction and Learning – Student achievement/performance and staff growth
  1. One day training seminar covering the ear and its function.
 
Collaboration
  1.      Working with other screeners and school nurses.


Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma required or equivalent required and professional or volunteer experience with children preferred. 

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to orally communicate, stand, walk, sit, and use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel.  Regular attendance on the job is expected. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Terms of Employment: Part -Time Hourly Position
