Long-Term Substitute School Counselor
The Brentwood School District seeks a dynamic, student-centered Long-Term Substitute School Counselor for the remainder of 2020 school year.  This position will cover a maternity leave.
Brentwood is a small district with a diverse community of learners.  Community members work hard to ensure that learners meet high expectations for learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate an appreciation of academic and cultural diversity, a passion for teaching as learning, and a commitment to on-going professional growth and becoming an integral part of the whole school community. 
To provide a comprehensive guidance program for students that promotes the invitational school climate

  • Successful College and Career guidance experience in a high school setting required
  • Master’s degree in school counseling is required
  • DESE Guidance Counselor (7-12 preferred) certification required
  • Ability to quickly develop and maintain positive rapport with students
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of learners
  • Ability to meet the requirements of the district School Counselor job description
Terms of Employment
  • Substitute Teacher rate $97/day for the first ten days and then $188.00/day
  • Start Date: March 19  until May 11, 2020
