REGISTRAR- Bayless High School
FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt
Evaluation:  Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with provision of the Board policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel (Policy GDN)
  1. Reports to Building Principal, Assistant Principal / Director of School Counseling
  2. To substantially assist the building administrator, staff, students, and patrons assuming the following performance responsibilities
  1. Graduation from a general or technical high school
  2. College degree or some college preferred
  3. Prior experience/training with computer operations
  4. Excellent human relations skills
  5. Ability to work independently and initiate activities/tasks
  6. Possess organizational skills and ability for detail
  7. Knowledge of office equipment (computers, copier, fax machines, etc.)
  1. Maintains records required by policy, regulations and the law
  2. PBIS Data Attendant
  3. Register new students; input demographic information and transferring credits, follow-up with other schools on transfer information
  4. Withdraws students; getting transcripts of withdrawn students
  5. Maintain all legal documents relative to restraining orders, restricted pick-ups, etc.
  6. Maintain records for High School Equivalent Option program, SCOPE, South Tech, and the A+ program
  7. Assists in creating grading cycle; assist in making sure all grades are in and accurate
  8. Assist in printing report cards/progress reports and distribute
  9. Assist with posting student jobs and scheduling career counseling, career fairs for benefit of students
  10. Create file sets in computer system
  11. Calculates credits/GPA/ranks/attendance
  12. Compile numbers/requests for summer school courses – student schedules
  13. Assist in student course selection process and master scheduling
  14. Process summer mailing prior to start of summer school
  15. Maintains confidentiality of office, staff and student matters
  16. Classifies, sorts, and files correspondence, mail and other related data
  17. Composes and prepares requested reports and correspondence for the school counselors
  18. Keep college rep calendar, make appointments, post, announce
  19. Send out scholarship information, email seniors, give copies of email to senior homeroom teachers to post, post in offices
  20. Type and assemble the Career and Education Planning Guide
  21. Assist with assembly and mailing of the counselor’s newsletter
  22. Assist with planning and preparation with EOC
  23. Weed senior files from counselor’s office; return test information to seniors and send final transcripts
  24. Pull graduated files from safe and put them with other graduate folders
  25. Other duties as assigned
