POSITION SUMMARY:

Affton School District seeks an energetic, passionate, and experienced part-time individual for the following duties: set-up, takedown and cleanup for both internal and external events, supervision of events, opening and securing of building/event space, operation of equipment & live streaming during events, trouble-shooting, and creative problem-solving, among other tasks.


                                                                DETAILS:
  • 12 month position, including evenings, weekends, & holidays
  • Part-time, 15-25 hours per week, based on event schedule
  • No fringe benefits
  • Salary starts at Level L, Step 1~$17.49/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework/degree is preferred
  • Requires ability and knowledge to work on both Mac OS and PC platforms
  • Requires the ability to safely operate, maintain, and repair all equipment used in event production (audio, visual, & sound)
  • Requires strong organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate the requirements of individual projects and events
  • Requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Requires strong communication (verbal, written and electronic) skills
  • Requires the ability to listen well and respond to questions in a professional manner
  • Requires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, think quickly, and respond to situations in a calm manner
  • Requires the ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment
  • Requires the ability to work as a team player, communicate, collaborate, and develop effective working relationships with all levels of district staff, students, and outside stakeholders
  • Requires the ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population
  • Requires the willingness to learn new material and, as needed, attend professional development
