Position Title:
Reports To:            Director of Facilities
Salary Range:          $12.79 to $ 26.58
Summary:  Performs various manual tasks used in the cleaning and repair of buildings, equipment, and structures owned and/or maintained by the school district. 
Job Responsibilities:
  1. General cleaning of halls, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and all facilities.
  2. Diagnose and identify light equipment parts to order for repair.
  3. Loads and unloads trucks; spreads sand, gravel, and dirt; moves and carries heavy materials such as pipe, lumber, gravel, sand, or furniture.
  4. Operates and maintains mechanized equipment including but not limited to motor vehicles, vacuum sweeper, scrubber, buffers, tractor, grass mower, fork lift, sisssor lift and snowplow.
  5. Assists skilled workers in a variety of assignments such as digging and refilling ditches, breaking concrete, mixing mortar, asphalt repair, and running errands.
  6. Shovels snow from sidewalks and driveways and spreads sand, salt, or cinders to prevent slipping.
  7. Removes litter from roof and landscape and performs landscaping duties to maintain and care for school grounds.
  8. Adjusts and repairs such equipment as vacuums, scrubbers and other equipment as needed.
  9. Repairs and installs playground equipment.
  10. Washes, cleans and maintains department tools, and equipment.
  11. Complies with state law, district policies and procedures.
  12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
AHERA Awareness Training.
