Design Grant Project Coordinator needed for the 2019-20 school year at Belton High School, Belton MO.

Education: BA in communication, non- profit administration, public relations preferred.  

3-5 years experience in recruiting, community outreach, managing projects, presenting reports to stakeholders, compiling data to support grant.
Ideal candidate will be detailed oriented with an outgoing personality necessary to meet with community stakeholders. Proficient in technology necessary to prepare reports, present data, and assist Director.

The Real World Learning Grant is awarded on an annual basis.  Funding for this position is through the Kauffman Foundation-Real World Learning Grant.
Salary:  $55,000 per year/ 260 days

Job Description:

Real World Learning Project Coordinator
Management of the Real World Learning Design and Plan initiative will be the primary responsibility of the Real World Learning Project Coordinator.  Working with and reporting to the Director of Academies, Belton High School, the coordinator will assist in the development of a three year strategic plan that aligns with the implementation of the Academies of Belton and will result in an increase of students achieving one of more of the Market Value Assets through participation in the Academies.
Responsibilities
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining relationships with community and regional partners which will provide Real World Learning opportunities for students; ensuring that students will graduate with Market Value Assets required for opportunities and success in post-secondary experiences; college, career, and life.
  • Assists in working with stakeholders, both internal and external, to set expectations and overcome barriers ensuring that all Belton High School students have an opportunity to engage and benefit from Real World Learning activities.
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of district processes, which align with the Academy model, to prepare and ensure a consistent increase in students’ readiness for Real World Learning opportunities as identified by regional standards. 
  • Assists in the coordination of ongoing and effective Academy related experiences through community outreach; including, but not limited to Business Roundtable Discussions, Job Shadowing, Mentoring, Internships, and Externships.
  • Assists with the collection of data related to the components of the Real World Learning strategic plan and student acquisition of identified Market Value Assets.
  • Assists with monitoring the disbursement of project funds and the submission of required reports.
  • Monitor the progress towards delivering the Real World Learning Grant outcomes and outputs.
  • Other duties as assigned that support the Real World Learning Design and Plan initiative.
