Position: Maintenance HVAC Worker
Qualifications:
  1. Specialized training on HVAC, furnaces, and refrigeration.
  2. Experience infield 3-5 years.
  3. Mechanical--Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  4. Building and Construction--Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
  5. Safety and Security--Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies in accordance with OSHA standards.
  6. Good communicating skills with Supervisors, Peers, or  Subordinates-- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  7. Ability to perform General Physical Activities--Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Performance Responsibilities:
  1. Maintains a current refrigerant certificate with the ability to purchase, install and reclaim refrigerant appropriately.  
  2. Knowledge of different types of refrigerant and the capabilities of purchasing refrigerant.
  3. To maintain and trouble shoot all types of heating and cooling equipment (heat pumps, gas furnaces, boilers, air conditioning, chilled water systems, zero degree systems, etc.)
  4. Install duct systems, furnaces, air conditioners, freezers, refrigerant lines.
  5. Compressor change outs, pump down and reclaim refrigerant, charge systems with the correct refrigerant ,change fan motors, pressure switches.
  6. Knowledge of computerized building energy management systems.
  7. Maintain kitchen equipment including dish washers, ovens, cook tops, steam tables and any other equipment.
  8. Understanding of safety and security meeting OSHA standards.
  9. Knowledge to maintain the buildings in a professional manner and performs all other duties requested.
