RESEARCH AND EVALUATION ANALYST
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
12 Months
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.  B.S. Degree or Certification in Information or Data Systems
2.  Expertise with integrating multiple databases,including strong knowledge of Core Data as related to MSIP reporting 
     requirements.
3.  Experience and skills with research and evaluation related to assessment and educational programs
4.  Excellent organizational and reporting skills
5.  Ability to manage multiple project responsibilites simultaneously and prioritize work.
6.  Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
7.  Experience with system design and data analysis
8.  Experience with research and evaluation and program writing
REPORTS TO:
Director of Instructional Technology 

JOB GOAL:
The Research and Evaluation Analyst is responsible for collecting and entering district data into the DESE Core Data/MOSIS state reporting system, and collecting and analyzing data to support district and building initiatives. Further, the position assists the C&I Department to ensure implementation of data quality tools, methods, standards, procedures, and policies for instructional data systems.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
1.  Coordinate the compilation and submission of student and district data to DESE through the Core Data and MOSIS collection
     system.
2.  Maintain information to complete timely state reporting through MOSIS to ensure proper levels of state and federal funding
     based on Core Data submissions
3.  Report changes in DESE rules to district administrators, principals and staff.
4.  Determine causes of error messages and state level violations within MOSIS and SIS data and correct accordingly.
5.  Provide data and reports for various departments, schools and outside agencies.
6.  Compiles data from a wide variety of diversified sources for the purpose of preparing reports, making recommendations;
     and/or preparing information for district administrators.
7.  Researches a variety of topics for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations and/or addressing a variety
     of administrative requirements.
8.  Set targets for APR  and work with district and building administration to monitor progress towards meeting the standards.
9.  Research and compile data for grant proposals for site based and Central Office   Department grant funding initiatives.
10. Provide training to administrators and other building/district-level personnel regarding data collection as needed.
11. Disaggregate and analyze data to create a comprehensive overview for program planning to develop, implement and
     maintain quality instructional programs
12. Use data to support short and long range planning for individual students, classes, schools and District departments.
13. Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. 
 
 
 
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff.
 
 
 Salary:  Min $55,419
