Job Description:
The Orchard Farm School District is seeking a certified speech/language pathologist to join our team!  Our mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse communities. Speech Pathologists are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning.
Summary: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assesses students' communication to determine eligibility
  • Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals
  • Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations
  • Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students
  • Develops IEP's, interventions and/or educational materials
  • Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies
  • Maintains files and/or student records including attendance, progress on goals, and Medicaid
  • Complete and submit forms and evaluations in a timely manner
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and/or educational concerns
  • Case-manage IEPS and work with staff to develop specialized programming
  • Prepare individualized lesson plans for students and groups
  • Participate in building, grade level. And subject areas committees
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars
  • Prepares a wide variety of written materials for families, staff and students
  • Ability to problem solve and work in a collaborative team environment
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree
  • MO Certification for Speech and Language
  • Complete CPI certification (Provided by district)
