Job Description:

Duties

• Performs diagnostic evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on physiological and anatomical knowledge tailored to each student’s needs
• Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions using a variety of communication modes, including sign language, oral, written, and low to high tech augmentative/alternative communication
• Consult with staff school district, and parents for generalization of skills learned in therapy, school, and classroom setting
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes
• Educate students families about speech development milestones and strategies for ongoing support at home
• Stay current with the latest research in physiology, anatomy, and speech therapy techniques to enhance treatment efficacy

Requirements

• Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction
• Prior school experience or familiarity working within educational settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of pediatrics and early intervention practices
• Proven experience in assessment and delivering effective speech therapy interventions
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology
• Solid grasp of human physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions
