JOB DESCRIPTION & GOALS:
The Literacy Instructional Coach will support all grades 3–5 staff in the effective implementation of the school’s reading plan and curriculum. The coach will work collaboratively with teachers by providing instructional modeling, co-planning, classroom-embedded coaching, and individualized support, as well as facilitating teacher-led and inquiry-based professional learning opportunities. The Literacy Instructional Coach will focus on strengthening instructional practices that promote student engagement and ownership of learning. In partnership with administrators and teachers, the coach will collect, analyze, and interpret student performance data to inform instructional decision-making, monitor progress, and support continuous improvement in literacy outcomes.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Step 1 Bachelors ~ $40,000
Board paid benefits.
12 paid time off days.
School year as established by the Board and Administrators.
Actual contract amount will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Missouri teaching certificate in the area applied for.
Excelling communication skills and a positive attitude toward generating successful teamwork and a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people in a variety of settings.
