Qualifications

• Must hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in guidance and counseling along with a valid Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Counseling Certificate
• Counseling experience preferred
• Psychological Examiner Certification preferred
• Experience developing a middle school master schedule preferred
• Familiarity of developing and implementing building assessment plan preferred
• The position will require experience or the desire to work in multiple electronic platforms including student information systems and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website
• Knowledge of MOSIS preferred
• FBI background check required

Brief Job Description
The middle school counselor at Danby Middle School establishes and implements a comprehensive school counseling program for ALL students including the content areas of academic, social/emotional and career counseling through school counseling curriculum, individual planning, responsive services and system support. Salary is based on level of certification and years of experience in education. This is a regular teacher contract with additional days.
