The Elsberry R-II School District is seeking a dedicated and caring Paraprofessional to support student learning and assist classroom teachers in creating a positive, engaging, and supportive educational environment. This position plays a vital role in helping students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally.

Key Responsibilities
- Support certified teachers in delivering instruction to individuals and small groups of students
- Assist students with academic tasks, organization, and classroom routines
- Provide additional support to students with special learning or behavioral needs as directed
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times (arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, etc.)
- Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom activities
- Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, administrators, and staff
- Follow district policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College coursework 60 semester hours or paraprofessional certification preferred (ParaPro Assessment) or Substitute Teacher Certification
- Experience working with children in an educational or youth setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Genuine care for students and a desire to support their success
