Job Description:
- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Develop and implement art lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Teach fundamental art concepts, such as color theory, composition, and perspective.
- Provide hands-on instruction in various art forms like drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Instruct students on the proper use and care of art tools and equipment.
- Student Assessment and Feedback:
- Evaluate student progress through projects, assignments, and participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their artistic skills and understanding.
- Assign grades and maintain records of student performance.
- Classroom and Materials Management:
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare, organize, and manage art supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly classroom.
- Professional and Administrative Duties:
- Stay current with new art techniques, trends, and teaching methods.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into the school's overall curriculum.
- Communicate with parents and school administration.
- Organize and facilitate art exhibitions or shows to display student work.
- Knowledge of art history, artistic techniques, and various art mediums.
