EXAMPLE (S) of WORK PERFORMED:
- Accurately demonstrates knowledge of the content area and approved curriculum.
- Teaches knowledge, skills, techniques in art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, etc.
- Provides individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic abilities.
- Organizes storage areas and controls use of materials, equipment, and tools to minimize time required for distribution and collection.
- Creates a flexible programs and classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth for all students.
- Establishes effective rapport with students to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation continued progress in accordance with each student’s ability.
- Demonstrates appropriate long and short-term preparation for classroom instruction.
- Holds high expectations for all students and sees themselves as facilitators of student learning.
- Organizes and uses a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in-group settings.
- Assess student progress, provides students and parents with specific feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction as needed.
- Provides opportunities for academic support and challenge.
- Takes responsibility for teaching the district curriculum as outlined in the curriculum documents.
