2nd Grade Teacher
The Newburg R-II School District is seeking applications for a 2nd grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Our district has approximately 310 students in grades PreK-12. We operate on a 4 day school week.  This position will remain open until filled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
  • To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
  • To motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
  • To provide positive feedback and encouragement for students.
  • To facilitate an environment that promotes academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
  • To implement a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
  • To assess student progress, provide students and parents with specific feedback regarding progress, and use the data to adjust instruction as needed.
  • To perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.
