Job Description:
Physical Education Teacher - Certified
The Kirkwood School District is hiring a Physical Education Teacher for the 25/26 school year to support Westchester Elementary School.
 
The Successful Candidate:

• Develops and implements physical education lessons that align with the Missouri Learning Standards and district goals.
• Creates an environment that encourages active engagement and positive social interactions.
• Develops learning opportunities that foster teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and social skills. 
• Plans, organizes, and implements physical education lessons and supplemental activities that motivate students and foster their interest in health and well-being.
• Utilizes learning materials/instructional tools consistent with the district curriculum.
• Conducts consistent assessments of student progress, adapts instruction to meet individual student’s needs, and provides feedback to students and families.
• Builds relationships and communicates effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Collaborates with other staff members, participates in faculty meetings, and attends professional development.
• Participates in PLCs at the school- and district-levels.
• Engages in self­-evaluation related to instructional performance and professional growth.

Candidates for consideration must hold a current Missouri Teaching Certificate in Physical Education (k-12).

This is a full-time certified teaching position, with benefits, including:

 Salary is based on the Certified Salary Schedule and is dependent on relevant education and experience.
