ANTICIPATED START DATE: 8/11/2025
LOCATIONS:
Gotsch Intermediate (3-5)
DETAILS: 9.5-month support staff positions, with district-recognized holidays and paid sick and personal leave. These are full-time, 37.5 hours per week positions, with district provided benefits packages that include employee health, dental, life and vision insurance.
COMPENSATION: According to the Support Staff Pay Schedule within the Certified Staff Assistant and Staff Assistant ranges. Those with a Teaching Certification will begin on Level G, Step 1 starting at $19.96 hourly. Those with a Substitute Certification will begin on Level B, Step 1 starting at $15.94 hourly. Placement within the ranges on the Support Staff Pay Schedule are determined by like experience and education.
JOB SUMMARY: To assist the administration by providing support to school educational programs through providing appropriate classroom supports, activities and learning environment in order that students may learn effectively and experience a smoothly functioning program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- In addition to a high school diploma, one of the following is required to obtain a Substitute Certification:
- 60 college credit hours,
- Associate’s degree or higher,
- Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before September 23, 2013),
- Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after September 23, 2013), or
- Completed Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
- Prior experience working with children is preferred
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, email, etc. is preferred
- Prior experience with office equipment (copying machine and scanner) is preferred
- The ability to listen well and respond to questions from students in a professional manner is required
- The ability to redirect and interact positively with students is required
- The ability to work independently, use good judgment, think quickly, and respond to situations in a calm, caring manner is required
- The ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment is required
- The ability to work as a team player, communicate and collaborate with staff is required
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with students and the school community is required
- The ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multicultural student population is required
- The willingness to learn new material and, as needed, attend professional development is required
