MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 60 college credit hours or associate degree required
• Experience working with students preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• ELL Resource
• Possible virtual learning assistance
• Assist students with disabilities according to their individualized needs
• Assist in managing the behavior of students
• Keep the administrators and teachers informed of any special needs or problems of individual students
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with board policy and law
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as requested by administration
• Work with students individually or in small groups
• Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
• Provide assistance and guidance of routines to a substitute in a teacher’s absence
• Work the number of days and hours specified when employed by the board; hours worked exclude lunch
• Help supervise arrival and departure of students as needed
• Help supervise students during lunch and recess as needed
• Accompany students to special subjects such as music, physical education, art, and library as needed
• Assist as classroom aide, computer lab aide, library aide, and secretary as needed
• Perform other duties as may be assigned

TERMS: Part-time with retirement benefits only; 29.75 hours per week; $17.71+ for 60 hrs/sub cert. or $18.89+ for bachelor’s with possible steps for experience
EFFECTIVE: 2025-2026 school year
SCREENING TO BEGIN: Immediately; open until filled
CLASSIFICATION:  Non-exempt
