Job Goal:
To build successful comprehensive extracurricular and co-curricular programs. To assist the principal in providing school-wide leadership.
Performance Responsibilities:
Terms of Employment:
The Activities Director will be employed for a twelve-month contract year. The salary and work year will be established annually by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Qualifications:
- Appropriate certification
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Teaching Certificate
- Administrative experience preferred
- CPR, AED, First Aid Certification and National Federation of High School Concussion
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Performance Responsibilities:
- Coordinate development and support athletic and co-curricular programs which embraces the alignment of youth athletic programs, middle school programs and high school programs
- Develop and maintain positive relations and team morale with students, parents, staff, community and media
- Promote academic achievement through high standards of academic performance
- To be active in building participation, conditioning and training through camps and individual contacts
- Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school
- Proposes schedule/schedules extracurricular activities
- Works with coaches in compiling the annual budget requests
- Requisitions supplies and equipment; conducts inventories; maintains records; and checks on receipts for such material
- Assumes responsibility for coordinating transportation, practice facilities and extracurricular activities
- Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases as necessary
- Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives
- Administers the student insurance program
- Supervises and evaluates coaches and sponsors as assigned by the principal/district
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal/district may from time to time assign
- Work under and adhere to ISD Board Policies and Regulations
