The Newburg R-II School District is seeking applications for a Jr High ELA teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Our district has approximately 310 students in grades PreK-12. We are located in south central Missouri approximately 5 miles west of Rolla. We operate on a 4 day school week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
- To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
- To motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
- To provide positive feedback and encouragement for students.
- To facilitate an environment that promotes academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
- To implement a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
- To assess student progress, provide students and parents with specific feedback regarding progress, and use the data to adjust instruction as needed.
- To perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.
