The Financial Aid Administrator (FAA) will lead our commitment to making Jesuit education accessible to all qualified students. This vital role manages the comprehensive financial aid program that supports our diverse student body and embodies our mission of educational equity and opportunity. The FAA will oversee all aspects of financial assistance, from application evaluation to scholarship administration, while providing personalized guidance to families navigating the financial aid process.
The Financial Aid Administrator serves as a crucial bridge between SLUH's educational and cocurricular opportunities and families from all socioeconomic backgrounds. This position requires a strategic mind for financial planning and allocation of resources alongside a pastoral heart for families experiencing financial challenges. Working collaboratively across departments, the FAA ensures that financial considerations never prevent deserving students from accessing the transformative power of a Jesuit education. Through thoughtful administration of various scholarship and aid programs, the FAA directly advances SLUH's commitment to forming "Men for Others" by providing students not only access but experience as well.

Key Responsibilities
Core Financial Aid Administration
- Evaluate and process financial aid applications through FACTS to determine appropriate financial awards
- Guide families through financial aid appeals in collaboration with the Vice President Administration
- Provide immediate assistance and triage support to families experiencing financial crises throughout the academic year
- Coordinate closely with the Business Office to ensure accurate tuition billing and accounting
- Oversee the Francis Scholars program in collaboration with the program coordinator
- Administer and manage the Merit Scholars program
- Assist in selecting Presidential Scholars in coordination with the Advancement Department
- Manage and distribute scholarship funds from programs such as 1818 and UMSL ACP
- Prepare and provide student data to support the Work Grant program
- Partner with the Advancement Department for the Letters of Gratitude project
- Collaborate actively with the Admissions Team throughout the admissions cycle
- Work with College Counseling Department to facilitate ACT fee waivers and college application fee waivers
- Consult regularly with graduate support directors from Access Academy feeder schools
- Compile and present financial data for grant proposals, Archdiocesan reports, JSN surveys, and related initiatives
- Represent and participate in school events, including Open House and Financing a SLUH Education night
- Work with club moderators, coaches, Global Education, faculty, and families to identify financial support needs for student activities
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial aid administration, education finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing financial aid platforms (e.g., FACTS) and working collaboratively with multiple departments.
- Committed to the values and mission of Jesuit education
- Ability to have clear, compassionate communication with families
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating financial documents and awarding aid equitably
- Proficient in financial aid systems (e.g., FACTS) and data reporting
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Discreet and professional in handling confidential information
