Job Description:
The Northwest R-I School District seeks an enthusiastic and student- centered individual to fill this position for the 2025-26 school year. The successful candidate will be part of a high-energy and enthusiastic team of professionals, dedicated to meeting the academic, social and emotional needs of students. 

This is a full-time certified position, with benefits, including:

Salary is based on the Certified Salary Schedule, dependent on relevant education & experience. Per our Board Policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Serve as member of school Positive Support Team (PST).
  2. Serve as a member of school Section 504 Team.
  3. Implement guidance curriculum and career/education programs for students.
  4. Provide responsive services to students as necessary.
  5. Work with students and staff individually and in groups to address issues and barriers to success.
  6. Assist principal in coordinating state and district testing program for the school.
  7. Serve as a consultant/resource to staff and parents to help meet the needs of students.
  8. Assist students with development of long-range career/educational plans and class schedules.
  9. Communicate and coordinate with district services and outside agencies to provide services to students and their families.
  10. Assist students in transition from one educational grade or level to the next, including college/scholarship application process and employment process.
  11. Maintain records and documentation of services to students.
  12. Work with Juvenile Court, DSS, DMG, and other agencies to meet the comprehensive needs of students.
  13. Other duties as assigned by the Administration.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  2. Appropriate Missouri counseling certification.
