Job Description:
Mary Immaculate School in Kirksville, MO has an opening for a Paraprofessional. This position is a nine-month position for the 2025-2026 school year. A successful candidate is a practicing Catholic in good standing who can minister to students regardless of subject area or a teacher who, consistent with the Mission of Mary Immaculate School, promotes and teaches the Catholic faith as reasonably determined by the principal.

Responsibilities:
· Support students’ spiritual, physical, emotional, and academic needs consistent with the mission of Mary Immaculate school.
· Supervise students in and out of the classroom to ensure safety.
· Assist teachers in counseling parents on the school’s requirements for the spiritual and academic development of their children.
· Participate in lesson planning sessions.
· Co-teach lessons under the lead/certified teacher’s guidance.
· Lead small groups activity or basic individual instruction.
· Assist lead/certified teacher in reviewing classwork.
· Provide appropriate written and oral communication with parents, other teachers and school officials.
· Assist in tracking students’ progress and preparing reports for parents and administration.
· Provide various classroom management duties such as taking daily attendance, photocopying, grading, typing and filing.
· Assist in organizing and maintaining classroom and teaching materials, equipment and supplies.
· Monitor the classroom during lessons to minimizing distractions and disruptions from students.
· Assist administration, teachers and students with extracurricular activities and functions.
