Job Description:
Position Summary
Perform a variety of complex office tasks assuring accuracy of files, including the extensive use of computers.
Key Performance Indicators
Ability to relate quickly and tactfully to a variety of people, including the general public and colleagues.
Interpersonal skills:
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under time pressures effectively to meet deadlines.
Communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of people both inside and outside of the organization.
Ability to identify and express problems and develop solutions from alternative methods and procedures.
Ability to understand directions, ask questions for clarification, and demonstrate appropriate action.
Technical skills:
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with database software, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Internet, and email.
Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
Proficient math skills.
Write or compile reports, summaries, or memos using prescribed format and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, and style.
Experience
Education:
Associate’s degree or two years directly related full-time work experience.
Work Experience:
At least one year full-time directly related work experience in addition to above criteria.
Industry Knowledge:
Knowledge of federal and state financial aid guidelines and federal regulations.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Working in a professional office environment this position requires sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, light lifting, grasping, talking, seeing, hearing and repetitive motion.
Responsibilities occasionally require evening, weekend, and/or overtime work.

Position Summary
Perform a variety of complex office tasks assuring accuracy of files, including the extensive use of computers.
Key Performance Indicators
- Provide Customer Service
- Accurately assist with Financial Aid verification process
- Timely process A+ Forms
- Scan documents, enter records timely and accurately
- Provide information and applications to students via telephone, mail, e-mail and/or in person.
- Assist students in completing, correcting, and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Direct Loan Applications, Scholarship Applications and other forms for Financial Aid.
- Perform the verification process for applicants selected by the US Department of Education.
- Generate correction files and notify the Director of Financial Aid when a correction file is ready to send. Reconcile the correction file sent/received to ensure corrections sent have been made and processed by COD.
- Maintain files and other confidential paperwork in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area conducive to a productive working environment.
- Prepare reports and other correspondence.
- Scan/index information for Financial Aid to the correct electronic storage database.
- Initial processing of A+ Activation Forms each semester.
- Assist with the Satisfactory Academic Progress checks and related tasks at the end of each semester.
- Provide clerical support to the Financial Aid Department for data entry, preparation of correspondence and spreadsheet preparation as needed.
- Perform other general clerical responsibilities as required by activities in the Financial Aid department and as required by the Director of Financial Aid.
- Organize Financial Aid workshops during days, evenings, and possible weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
