System Support Specialist Intern
Part Time: Flexible Schedule 20 Hours/Week
POSITION SUMMARY: Position is responsible for district wide distribution, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Chromebooks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain, and troubleshoot Chromebooks and chargers.
- Disassemble, reassemble and repair Chromebooks.
- Process and prepare new Chromebooks and chargers for distribution.
- Unbox large deliveries of Chromebooks or other hardware.
- Follow inventory procedures and practices to maintain accurate Chromebook and charger inventory.
- Entering work tickets for devices covered under warranty.
- Assist students and teachers with Chromebook and charger issues involving both hardware and software.
- Manage and maintain loaner devices for buildings.
- Other duties may be assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently working towards a degree from an accredited college, university, or technical school with an emphasis on computer hardware and network design preferred.
- Exhibits abilities to work with computers, laptops and Chromebooks.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technology staff, administrators and school personnel.
